Our Pets
As well as our horses and cattle we have several other critters who share our home!
ALLIE
Allie is a Border Collie X Scotch Collie intact female. She was born in Manitoba in 2003. We chose her out of a litter of seven because she was the only one showing any "life" and she was dragging her brothers around their kennel. Allie is great on cows and wonderful with kids. She is very mild mannered spending most of her days lying on the deck in the sun unless of course the quad is running. Allie is such a wonderful dog that we are hoping to someday have a litter of puppies off of her.
PABLO
We rescued Pablo from the Humane Society in Brandon in 2006 when he was just a kitten. Pablo has some very unique habits. He adopted a Rubbermaid box as his own one afternoon while I had it sitting out in the living room. He now spends many an afternoon snoozing in his box. He enjoys sitting in the window sills, hiding in boxes, or attacking Scooter through the legs of our chairs. Pablo is a wonderful cat and him and Randy have a special bond. Sadly we lost Pablo last September and we miss him terribly!!!!!
SCOOTER
Scooter is a purebred Jack Russell Terrier intact male who was born September 30, 2007. We purchased Scooter from Kal & Crystal Harper of Artesian Sands. Scooter is a wonderful little dog! He was easy to transition from the puppy pads to the outdoors and he learned his commands and tricks with only very little repetition. Scooter is showing talent in being a "hunting" dog. This little guy has loads of energy but is as calm as can be when he is in the house. Scooter hauled water with me everyday and is very well behaved in the truck. We are offering Scooter up for stud because he has such an amazing disposition and he is extremely smart! Contact us for more information.
LUCY
Lucy is a Blue Heeler, Border Collie with a touch of Australian Shepherd. She is a female born March 2009. Lucy is our future cattle dog and is showing great interest in her training. Lucy is very sweet and very well behaved. We will post pictures soon.
Diesel & Apache are the house bosses! Apache is a two year old domestic short hair cat that came to the farm with a brother and sister to be our shop cats. Due to a broken hip Apache ended up in the house to recover and has never left. Diesel is the newest addition to our family. He came to us from Funds For Furry Friends in Brandon. He is a 4 year old black short hair cat. He has adjusted well to our life spending most days napping with his buddy!
